Luke is begins the New Year studying Shakespeare and Comedy of Manners abroad in a short course at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

In December, Luke co-stage managed and produced John Cariani’s new play Darker the Night Brighter the Stars directed by Jim Fagan.

This autumn, Luke played distraught immigrant Juror 11 in Boston University’s 12 Angry Jurors directed by Michael Hisamoto (The Public, The Huntington, Lyric Stage) in a production highlighting multicultural identities’ perspectives on capital punishment.

Luke’s first play Heartburn premiered as a Next Stage Workshop staged reading in Boston University’s Fringe Festival under the mentorship of Kirsten Greenidge and Brendan Zheng.

Over the summer, Luke teamed up with four other students to produce Caryl Churchill’s psychological thriller A Number, portraying the clones B1/B2/Michael in a revitalization of the student-led theater initiative Quarter 0 in the BU season.

This past July, Luke participated in developing Gabriela Tovar-Borghini’s new play Domenico’s Blemish at the Boston Center for the Arts, portraying Michelangelo’s patron Pope Julius II in a staged reading at the BCA.

Luke acted in the inaugural Boston University Sophomore Acting Festival, playing “Claudio” in Much Ado About Nothing directed by Clay Hopper (Senior Lecturer) and Chris Edwards (Actor’s Shakespeare Project) He also played bass and wrote original music with Nathaniel Ryan-Kern for the show.

Beginning the New Year, Luke debuted on the BU stage as wayward junkie “Bob” in David Mamet’s American Buffalo, presented as a BU Senior Thesis directed by Clay Hopper. College of Fine Arts Dean Harvey Young described the production as “thrillingly interpreted.”

With Prague Shakespeare Company, Luke brought Kiara Pipino’s Italian-English bilingual production of The Tempest to La Festival in una Notte d’Estate, performing as “Ferdinand” on the streets of Genoa.

This summer, Luke studied abroad as part of the Prague Shakespeare Company’s Summer Intensive season, acting in The Tempest (Ferdinand) directed by Kiara Pipino, The Comedy of Errors (Dromio of Syracuse) directed by Jennifer King, and Twelfth Night (Antonio) directed by Dani Bedau, touring the former two productions to Venice.
